One of my great passions in life is animal rescue. I have been volunteering with Forever Friends Animal Rescue since its beginning. I am a member of the committee and hold the role of Supporter Coordinator. Through FFAR, I have made some very dear lifelong friends and feel very lucky and privileged to be part of such a loving, generous and compassionate community.
If it weren’t for FFAR, I wouldn’t have my cheeky little fellow, Hamish, and he wouldn’t have made it out into the world to flourish the way he has!
He is just one of many happy stories made possible by FFAR and other rescues both in Australia and around the world.
Established in 2011, FFAR rescues homeless animals from unnecessary euthanasia in pounds and shelters across Victoria. Rescued animals are placed in foster care until such time that they can find their forever homes.
Forever Friends is staffed entirely by volunteers and funded only through donations from the caring Australian public. Since FFAR was established, several thousand companion animals have been saved, making FFAR one of the largest organisation of its kind in Victoria.
FFAR's success is a testament to their ongoing dedication to the animals and their willingness to volunteer their time and resources to such a worthy cause.
Donations of pet food, beds, toys, leads, collars, flea and worm treatments (anything a pet needs) are also much appreciated.
If you would like to donate these items please contact FFAR via foreverfriends.org.au/contact
